Small Aquarium Fish

Fish are very relaxing and theraputic to watch.  Small aquarium fish make it easy to have a theraputic tank almost anywhere.  Small aquarium fish tanks are those that are 15 gallons or less.  Many smaller aquariums use floating aquarium plants in place of fish, to get a more natural effect without taking up too much room.

Advantages to a small aquarian fish tank are numerous. 

1. They can fit almost anywhere, in a classroom, an apartment, or even in a nursing home.
   
2. Their compact size make cleaning and maintenance easy due to the amount of water you have to lift.
3. They are far more affordable than larger tanks and fish.
4. Small aquarium fish do not break pet regulations in apartments.
   

Small aquarium fish do still require maintenance though.  They need it a little more often than most due to the smaller amount of water to live in.  Small aquarium fish should be watched closely when first put in the small aquarium.

Advertised closed habitats should be avoided.  They don't provide everything that a fish needs to survive, and the are cruel to the fish by leaving them in dirty water with little or no food.
